MORNING PRAYER
Parents are invited to attend Morning Prayer in the Quad on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9.00 am. On Mondays the school gathers in the hall for Focus Assembly. This is a prayer session for all members of the community and is led by one of the classes. On Friday, prayer is held in grade groups throughout the school. Parents and friends are welcome to all of these prayer sessions.

WORKING BEES
These are conducted several times a year to make improvements to the grounds and facilities at the school.  As all students benefit from the improvement to grounds and facilities all parents are encouraged to attend.  

PARENT HELPERS
Parent helpers are always welcome at St Thomas the Apostle School.
This can take the form of listening to students read;  participating in craft activities;  providing help during excursions and camps;  assisting in sports activities, including the coaching and management of school sporting teams;  and belonging to the P&F.

PARISH/SCHOOL FAIR
The Fair is a major parish fundraiser. Planning meetings are advertised in the school newsletter.

CANTEEN - Our school operates a canteen service.  It is open at recess and lunch for over the counter sales.  Orders for lunches are collected in the morning by classroom teachers and we ask that the order be clearly written on a paper bag with the child's name and class and contain correct money if possible.  Lunches are distributed to classes at 12.40. to 1.10 or emergency orders are filled from a limited menu.  A comprehensive price list is sent home at the beginning of each term.

APPOINTMENTS WITH TEACHERS - To make an appointment with your child's teacher please contact the school by phone or letter so a mutually convenient time can be arranged.
Teachers will contact parents about any concerns they may have.  Please do not interrupt teachers during class time.  Messages for teachers can be left at the front office.
